Although human tastebuds cannot discern the difference between eXcella™ and sucrose (white sugar), the body handles these two substances very differently.
Sucrose quickly converts to glucose. As a result, it can cause a fast surge in blood sugar levels, and an insulin spike in response to that surge. In contrast, eXcella™ metabolizes very slowly. About one-third is transported to the liver to be converted into energy, and the remaining two-thirds is converted into small-chain fatty acids by enzymes in the intestines. Consequently, there is little impact on blood sugar and very negligible changes in insulin levels.
